17th July 2007 Windsurfing: Hayling Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: I got on the sea about 3pm. It was very knarly. I rigged 5-2 after the bloke in the posh VW van next to me said it was droppin and he was on 4-7. Got out fine first time. Came in and a quick rest... then got stuffed in the shore dump... fell over ouch sharp stones! Struggled to get out next - got trashed again. Shore dump is rare at my local lake! Nice and lumpy surf and my gybing was OK if a little tough in the waves. Worth the effort. Lots of people were arriving at 5:30 the wind was dropping a lot however. I packed up at just B4 6. |
